Inspirational Quote: You can turn bad days into good data...
Notes from Lily: It's been one of those days that you wish you could turn time back around. You've eaten well beyond your natural hunger, into the 8-10 range and you're heading to bed feeling dejected and exhausted. The untamed mind is shouting into your ear..."You blew it, I can't believe you did that again,"...admonishing you for taking the advice IT gave you to eat even though you weren't hungry. How would you like to take that "bad" day and turn it around? Make it something that was useful in terms of moving you towards your ideal weight? Can we know by know losing weight is a mental game! Here's where you get into the data...and research your day to find clues to what your particular daily practices must include to keep you on track. The key here is to write down the factors that made your day more challenging...to take notes on what was missing from your day that would have given you more power to transcend the untamed mind. Did you put on beautiful music in the morning? Did you do your gratitudes? Did you move your body for at least 10 minutes? Did you attempt to power through your day rather than flow? Did you write down what you ate? Did you read the Eating in Alliance keys? Did you use your outloud voice? Did you acknowledge yourself? Did you use your body to change your mind by smiling, standing up tall and breathing? You're going to have certain practices that make it much easier to Eat in Alliance with your body...so if you really dig deep to determine what you need to do to make your next day better, and cut yourself a giant break for listening to the powerful and manipulative voice of the untamed mind...tomorrow can be a phenomenal day. Don't miss out on the opportunity to turn your story around rapidly so that one binge day doesn't turn into 10. So after a challenging day...write about it that night..make a new commitment to yourself...define the practices that keep you on track and your mind focused on what you do want rather than what you don't want. That's your power....your focus...use it wisely. It determines what comes next in your life. Sending massive love your way! Lily
