Your Foundation, Your Breath...

Notes from Lily:  I gave a presentation today for a wonderful group of women who I was guiding in the art and practice of self love.  One of the ladies in the group shared the story of how she had called the police on her brother who was threatening her mother...and when the police arrived and shot and killed him.

This precious woman had been carrying the burden of thinking she was responsible for her brother's death...and her untamed mind never let her forget it.  

Today is the day I hope that is largely behind her...because what I shared with her is that she wasn't holding the gun...she didn't intend for her brother to be injured in any way...she was not responsible.

I could see the guilt lift from her as she breathed in that truth, and I sensed how deep that remorse for what had happened lie within her innocent heart.

So today I ask you...what are you not forgiving yourself for?  Where in your life are you holding back from cutting yourself a break?  Our freedom lies in our thinking...how we think...what we choose to think...what we practice thinking. 

So today and every day let your breath center you so that you can think more clearly, more selectively so you too can free yourself from the burden of the unwanted judgments of your untamed mind.

You deserve to be free of it...and you can get there as always...one thought and one breath at a time. Take three deep breaths right now to let that settle into your psyche!
